The focus of this article is on finding either your Near Twin or Companion Soul Mate. As we have mentioned in our previous articles, your Twin Soul is brought to you in accordance with your life plan (chart) by the divine force of the Universal Law of Attraction (like attracts like) when both Twin Souls are in their last incarnation, and if it has been planned, and if both Twin Souls are spiritually mature and ready for the intensity of that relationship.

However, many people have a sense about when they are approaching the end of their incarnational cycle. This will be a time of heightened awareness and spiritual awaking. Most arrange in their life plans to reunite with their Twin Soul on the Otherside at the completion of their incarnational cycle. But on rare occasions they do come together physically on this side. So this article, where it is not focused directly for the Twin Soul couple, the information will help in the recognition of your Twin Soul. Remember, the Near Twin relationship is going to feel much like a Twin Soul relationship because the Near Twin is the closest to the Twin Soul vibration.

"The Dating Game vs. Serious Hunting"

The hunting metaphor is cute and has often been used to describe finding a mate. We hope to use it here with a slant that will add more meaning. For example: notice the two words bracketing “vs.” ('Game” and “Serious.') One must determine whether this is just a “game” or whether they are “serious.”

If you are hunting "big game" of the two-legged variety, and want to bag a trophy, a keeper that will last for a long haul, you had better be serious--dead serious for as demonstrated by the domestic violence reported on our nightly newscasts, it might just be a life or death venture. What we say here doesn't apply to the dating game. It's "open season" on Soul Mate Relationships and success will depend on applying the following concepts and making appropriate choices. But enough of the "hunting" metaphors before we have you mounting your trophy.

The following are guidelines to help you through the process of finding a mate or possibly discovering if your current relationship is based on a spiritual foundation. There are three types of Soul Mate relationships: Twin Soul, Near Twins, and Companion Soul Mates all of whom are members of your soul group family. (This does not include other kinds of non-soul mate relationships).

Divine Sexual Attraction:

It may seem a bit obvious to say that sexual attraction is the initial force that draws two people together, but what may not be so obvious to many is that this attraction is divine and is found to some extent in all relationships. This desire, this longing and feelings of loneliness comes from separation from our Source, and can be traced back to the All Thing, or the Most High God. Divine Sexual Attraction is God’s way for calling us home. More about this is discussed in a the article entitled Divine Love and in the glossary under Divine Sexual Attraction, Physical Love and Divine Sexuality (Sacred Sex).

Relationships:

Lasting relationships are based on principles of spiritual compatibility. All successful relationships require a combination of two energy levels that drive compatibility—lower charka based (masculine) physical attraction, and upper charka based (feminine) emotional, intuitive, attraction. More specifically:

True spiritual LOVE flowers when a relationship is founded on a balance of physical and emotional interests.

The above is one of the most important statements in this article. In order to find a lasting true love, two balance criteria must be met: 1) Proper Bi-Gender Balance, (see Twin Souls: A Misunderstood Reality and The Twin Soul's Development: Age vs. Maturity) accompanied with lower and upper chakra balance.

The Universal Law of Attraction:

Like attracts like, works with the Bi-Gender Balance in parallel with the body’s seven chakra energy centers. Since we create our own personal reality through conscious acts of our own free will, it is important to know how the seven chakras come into play and how to use this knowledge to the best advantage at the onset of a relationship.

The Seven Chakras:

Much has been written about the seven chakras to where it is almost common knowledge among New Age spiritual practitioners. So we won’t go into detail here, however if you are unfamiliar with the chakra energy centers, you can find a brief definition of each in the glossary.

Finding a Compatible Soul Mate:

How do the seven chakras relate to finding a compatible spiritually based relationship? The seven chakras work as a ladder to love and understanding of the human psyche. If each chakra is visualized as a fountain that spews forth its own form of radiant energy we can see how and where each individual is coming from by how he or she radiates or broadcasts their chakra center needs.

Several basic generalizations can be based on the seven chakras and how they affect men and women differently. You can use the charka criteria provided in the glossary to recognize and assess your chakra energies and how they apply to your desires. Self understanding goes a long way toward future success when looking for a spiritual relationship.

HUGE Note of Caution

Too often one meets a person thinking they can change the other by polishing and knocking off a few rough edges. WARNING! It can't be done. All change comes from within! Not from without, through cosmetic or physical change or from efforts of another person. You can only change yourself. Establishing compatibility first will avoid heartache later.

Man and woman, the greatest of God’s dualities, in their early incarnations are generally in opposition as far as their needs and attractions are concerned. Hetero-g man is most often attracted to a woman in ascending order, from the lower chakras (physical) to the heart chakra (emotional) with the upper, intuitive pathways to the divine beyond his grasp. (See Twin Soul Development for more explanation.) This does not apply to a male who has gained the Bi-Gender Balance and has a degree of spiritual maturity. Such would have already accessed the upper chakra energies of emotion and intuition and would understand and have sensitivity for female needs.

She is first attracted to a man's sensitive nature--the higher level chakra influence in descending order.

Before you brush this off as an over-generalization, what is usually the first thing a women notices about a man? His eyes. The eyes are the gateways to the soul, and Hetero-g women—as well as most other women—are first attracted to a man who is compassionate, creative, imaginative and sensitive. In other words, she’s attracted to his feminine aspect.

I admit this is a generalization, but with every generalization there are elements of truth. You determine if this "rings true" to your experience. If a woman finds what she likes in the upper three chakra energies broadcasted by a man, she progresses to the fourth charka—heart and love. If he reinforces her Solar Plexus Chakra needs for self-worth and self-esteem, makes her feel loved, beautiful, attractive, intelligent and aware, she’s locked in and we haven't even gotten to S.E.X. yet.

With some women there is a "trade-off" or balance between her greater needs in the First Chakra-- security—and his greater needs in the Second Chakra—sex. If both partners are equally motivated and attracted in both these lower two chakras there is a reasonable compatibility. But this isn't often the case for a number of reasons. First the likelihood that a Hetero-g man often lacks the desire and experience to satisfy a woman sexually.

The Hetero-g woman will trade what he needs, (sex) to get what she needs, security). While this may work in some cultures, in the long run it often brings a lack in spiritual connection and seriously inhibits communication on any other level.

What if she isn't willing to compromise? What if he wants sex too often for her likes, and he is so immature and/or irresponsible that he can't, or won't provide her with her basic Root Chakra needs of financial security, shelter, safety and sustenance? What happens? Usually divorce.

As males and females progress toward the Bi-G Balance these contrasts are less obvious. It is very important to determine where your potential mate is on the Soul Development Scale. (See Twin Soul's Development.)

Again, these generalizations only work for "Hetro-g" men and women. As a woman physically, sexually, and spiritually matures, she becomes more self-confident and Bi-Gender Balanced, she is likely to take an active, sometimes aggressive role, and often creates what she needs rather than accepting what she can get.

A Bi-Gender woman is a woman who requires equality in all things without losing her feminine essence. She won’t be excluded or told what she will think by a man. She is a “Master of Subtlety” and accomplishes her means by love, passion, inspiration and intuition.

Contrary to the early focus of the women’s movement, the Bi-G woman is all woman and doesn’t need to become man-like to achieve balance. This is not to say that in the work place she shouldn’t receive equal pay, not at all. However, a balanced woman would not give up her womanly characteristics and strengths to compete with a man. On the contrary, every one of her female talents would be necessary to compete--especially in this man’s world we presently live in. (See more about this in the Article, Aquarian Age Feminism.)

A Bi-G woman may accomplish her balance while performing a total domestic role, yet her strength will be seen in her ability to balance the needs of family without relinquishing her personal sovereignty.

A Bi-Gender woman is a woman whose nurturing instincts are strong. She knows how to suppress her desire for pleasure and entertainment when the demands for providing for her family are of greater importance. In this day and age this means possibly entering the work force. In times past, it was the Bi-G woman who grew food when men could find no game in the hunt and were too proud to get their hands dirty tilling the soil.

A Bi-G woman isn't necessarily a bi-sexual, but she could be. She certainly isn't afraid to take what she wants sexually. If she wants comfort and security, shelter and sustenance, she is fully self-assured that she can and often does provide it.

What does a couple need for a compatible match?

To find compatibility a couple must match on at least three of seven charkas with one of the three being the Heart Chakra. Both the third—the Solar Plexus Chakra and fifth—the Throat charka in this context are "minor chakras" not strong enough upon which to build a match between the emotional and physical areas. Both support the Heart Chakra.

One match must be from the lower Root or Sacral charka and one match must be from upper Brow or Crown Chakra.

Does a relationship always have to involve sex? No. Not if both agree. If both partners are centered in the Root Chakra. Remember this chakra focuses on the vitality of a vibrant and exciting life. A couple who are actively involved in some strenuous outdoor activity like cross country skiing, bicycling, swimming, sky diving, bungee jumping--any of a number of "living on the edge" kind of excitements--mountain climbing, rowing, automobile or motorcycle racing. These can take the place of sex in a relationship if both are involved in similar activities.

Some of you, like me, may be too old for "living on the edge." You may be too close to the "edge" as it is, and you don't want to push your luck. You don't have to go leaping off cliffs on a hang glider or snorkeling with sharks in the Pacific. You can settle instead for the quietude and companionship of a loving partner, a warm fire in the winter, stimulating conversation, candlelight, wine and good food. All of these feed the Root Chakra.

The key thing to remember is that you need the Bi-G Balance in the first and/or second chakras for a spiritual relationship to work. Soul Mate relationships are not casual affairs.

Now is the time to distinguish how a spiritual or Soul Mate relationship differs from "the Dating Game." The Soul Mate relationship provides a safe environment to pursue mutual and personal interests as well as spiritual development and sexual expression. Contrary to what some religious institutions would tell you, sex is divine and blessed by God. However, sex as an instant and self-gratifying "no strings attached," game can leave one or both partners unfulfilled with possible long lasting emotional consequences.

Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places

Remember that line from an old song? The where of the dating game is often the noisy smoke filled night club. If you’re hunting “big game,” trying to find that one special person and “bagging a trophy” that will last 30 years or more, we suggest you’re unlikely to find one in such an environment. Not impossible, but unlikely.
