Divine Sexuality

Sacred Sex

"Whatever is focused on is not
likely to happen." (ZZ #11:1)

"Oh My God, I'm Coming!"

How often have these words been cried by one in the throes of an orgasm? Care to venture a guess? I wouldn't. They are so common they're almost clichéd, yet many still deny that sex is a divine experience. The reason for this is that almost all religions have tried their best to disassociate God from any form of human sexual experience, especially those involving pleasure. These not only include our Western religions but those of Eastern origin which most Westerners think are pro-sex--like Tantric yoga, Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism--to name a few.

But the fact remains, God and human sexual pleasure has always been associated together, and I don't mean: "be fruitful and multiply." Sexual pleasure is a divine godly experience shared between the inner and outer bodies and between two or more regardless of gender. This divine experience can and often does culminate in Divine Communion. Most religions have tried to separate their initiates from this experience by teaching their values of chastity, celibacy and abstinence.

Why is this? One reason is that even atheists can have a supernatural, paranormal, miraculous experience--a Communion with All That Is, without the tenants and precepts of religion. Where is the control of the priests and gurus if one can bypass their authority and experience the ultimate connection of God directly? It is exactly where it should be—non-existent.

Many from our Western Culture find it almost sacrilege to associate human sexual pleasure with God. It is no wonder. For the past 3000 years individual connection with God had been is discouraged. Yet many today are discovering the truth behind the words found in Conversations with God, Book III, (See Resource page. ) where it suggests in order to understand God we must first turn our altars into places for making love and our bedrooms into places of worship. This familiar verse, "Where two or more are joined in my name ... there I will be," takes on a completely different meaning.

You don't need a priest, guru, Immam, or holy man as an intermediary between you and God. You don't even need me.  You are God and your connection with your Creator Gods can be achieved through recognition and successful manipulation of life force energy. A one-on-one Divine Communion with God, and Sacred Sex with each other, can be expressed and celebrated between two or more lovers--regardless of gender.

It will be shocking for some to realize, as we will present later from another authoritative source, that with Classic Tantric Yoga women were not considered worthy of being initiates. They were only substitutes for the goddess Shakti and their participation was for the men's spiritual enlightenment. Granted, contemporary Tantric yoga has become more liberated, but one should never overlook the root belief from the modern-day adaptation. An initiate can never truly know how much of the ancient beliefs has been retained.

Exactly what is Divine Sexuality and Sacred Sex ?

Divine Sexuality is the expression of the masculine/feminine aspects in perfect union. Divine Sexuality can be, but is not restricted to, the physical expression of spiritual love making were all aspects are in harmony. For instance, Zarna requested that we use our Divine Sexuality to write an article on the Comprehensive Guide to the Soul. In this context she was referring to the balance of our (Melvyn Caryl’s) inner masculine feminine aspects and suggesting Melvyn Caryl use their individual strengths in creation of that article. This also relates to the union of opposite forces that hold matter together. All creation has been invested with such intended balance.

What is Sacred Sex:

Includes all consensual sex occurring between individuals wherein love, honor and respect are expressed in passion. Contrary to what most believe, even lust is sacred, for it is the divine attraction of the Universal Law of Attraction (like attracts like) that draws one to another in the quest to find their perfect spiritual mate--their Twin Soul. However, not all Sacred Sex elevates to the level of Divine Sexuality where masculine and feminine aspects are balance in perfectly harmony. We will expand on this later in this article.

What is Divine Communion?

Divine Communion is simply the connection through life force energy with our Source, however, there is nothing simple about it. It takes an awareness of the process to make the connection unless it happens spontaneously—which it often leaves the person wondering—what in the world just happened? The answer is it is not of this world but a touch into the inner reality. For one is rarely the same after such an experience.

A New Awakening

Many “how to” books have been written on every aspect of the sexual experience--from marriage manuals to complete religious followings such as Tantric Yoga and Kabbalic Judaism. An adequate presentation of  "how to" is beyond the scope of this article, but Zeb & Zarna are revealing to us what they explain are the essentials of the Ancient Mysteries of Isis . We do not believe that this is just another modern-day makeover of something lost in the antiquity, but rather a reintroduction of what was once given and long since forgotten, now brought to life again by the Twin Soul Goddess, Zarna for a New Awakening.

There is a connection between the feminine emotion of passion and sex, and between Kundalini and Divine Communion.  Once the masculine feminine energies are in alignment, Kundalini or life force energy is the driving force which brings one to Divine Communion. Therefore, we must first discuss the sacredness of passion and how our Chakra energy points come into play.

Kundalini--Manipulating Life Force Energy

As I mentioned in my article, How It All Began: The Channeling Process Zeb's very first message to me was on "Kundalini." Perhaps it would be appropriate to list it here (it's a short one):

  Male symbol.  Female symbol.

1. A man's "Ka" (life force) his masculine aspect, moves from the base, or Root Chakra, upwards finally reaching his spiritual or Crown Chakra. This controls everything he does and eventually' is his defeat, unless he listens to his feminine aspect and follows her nature.

2. A woman's "Ka" her feminine aspect moves from the Crown Chakra (her God-centeredness) downward finally reaching her Root or Base Chakra. This controls everything she does and is why she outlasts a man.

3. A man and woman are drawn to each other by the Yin and Yang of attraction--the desire for unity and harmony, but are kept together by their balance of ka--as long as both fill centeredness that is good--you have lasting unity, but not total harmony and oneness.

4. Think of it as two pyramids one over the other with the masculine aspect its base centered on the Root Chakra and its peak reaching the Crown Chakra and the feminine aspect its reverse. [End of selection]

It is important to make a distinction here between male and female (man and woman) and masculine/feminine aspects. What this message establishes is that both genders have masculine and feminine aspects. Far too many self-appointed authorities on this subject depict the woman as all feminine and a man is all masculine.

An individual within him/her self has all that is necessary for reaching the state of Divine Communion with God. This is the inner and outer merging of the individual's spiritual body (soul) and physical body and the balance of their own masculine/ feminine energies.  So for whatever reason, if it is not your choice or opportunity to "merge" with another you are not deprived Divine Communion.

Two individuals who thus join their masculine and feminine energies in sacred physical union need not be a man and a woman. If that isn't clear enough we will bold it…  Same-sex unions are not excluded.

Passion as we see in #3 above is what draws two together. There must be a balance between the masculine and feminine energies, not only within oneself, but together as a couple. This  balance”  that brings "unity and harmony" is created by fulfilling "centeredness" of the physical (Root Chakra--Masculine) and spiritual (Crown Chakra--Feminine) needs. And as has been said elsewhere, the ancient "Star of David" has a much older meaning—it signifies the perfect balance of masculine and feminine energies--Divine Sexuality.

In ZZ Message #12 (Channeled by Caryl on 03/11/03 ) discusses this Divine Communion and its relationship to Kundalini. This is a connection that women more often achieve spontaneously than men. Her conversation with Zeb is revealing:

C:> So we can commune with God, In the State of Oneness at anytime we choose?

Z:> Yes, that is correct.

C:> Is this like my recent experience where I have achieved a heightened state of awareness by manipulating the kundalini energy?

Z:> Yes, that's it, exactly.

In a later message (ZZ Message #47, channeled by me from Zarna on 03-03-04 ) Zarna explains more to Caryl what she is experiencing.

2. Daughter of my heart, how does one explain in words levels of Ecstasy? You have discovered what some call "Kundalini”[awakening,] but it is much more than that. You have discovered the true feeling of Communion with All That Is. The fire you feel that circulates within you, regenerating and spewing forth from your Crown Chakra is pure energy of mergence. It comes as close to the experience of being one with Zeb [and Zarna] as your mortal kind will ever know.

3. Teach it as "Divine Communion" to only those who are learned in the other things we teach, for this is not for everyone. Not because of separations we make, but because of Where you have to be in order to experience it.

4. Divine Communion has so many uses that are pure feminine. It will enable you to reach beyond us to others at your level, ours, and above. That is why I choose to call it "Divine Communion." Through it you will come to know your sisters [and brothers].

5. Divine Communion will also enable you to travel and "see" far into your future and deep into your pasts, and go there. It is one of the keys to the Mysteries of Isis that she shared with only a few of her Princesses.

6. Divine Communion will also enable you to rejuvenate your physical body, when mixed with the essence of your Eternal Mate [Twin Soul] you will bring about the alchemic process of renewal through this mixture of Life. This is a Mystery that must be revealed from within, as it has been [to Caryl]. [End of Selection]

This is truly far beyond the range of mere human sexuality and is what Dr. Jenny Wade presents in her new book Transcendent Sex: When Lovemaking Opens The Veil (See our Resource page). While she focuses on spontaneous occurrences, rather than those resulting from a spiritual practice, Dr. Wade, establishes quite firmly within her case studies of ninety-one "everyday people" that it can and does happen. People do have paranormal spiritual experiences, "Transcendent Sexual Experiences" that mirror what Caryl and I have experienced, and  that Zarna terms as Divine Communion. Quite often, this happens without a spiritual foundation. Which proves to me that God is within all of us, whether or not we know or accept that fact.

But drawing your attention back to the above statements from ZZ Message #47 it should be noted that if Divine Communion is something you want to experience by design, rather than a spontaneous occurrence, one doesn’t begin with Divine Sexuality. Achieving this state is only part of a much larger spiritual experience which begins with preparation of the "inner/outer" readiness of body, soul and spirit accompanied with a mental preparation that includes "house cleaning" of old restrictive beliefs.

Caryl:> Hello everyone. So far, I have been so good at restraining my enthusiasm about this subject and letting Mel ramble on now for five pages, but I just couldn’t hold back any longer.

Mel:> Why, did I say something wrong?

Caryl:> Of course not, everything you have said so far is exactly right. But since I am a grandmother with some experience in this I just wanted to get in my two cents.

Mel:> Alright Twin. I’m sure our readers will enjoy the feminine spin on this. I give you have the floor.

Caryl:> Thank you, Mel. It is important to me that this part of the subject be spoken in a  straight forward and to the point manner. Had I had some direction over 20 years ago, when I began to feel a strange arousal during meditation, I would have not lost years of a connection that now bring me such joy. My ignorance was at fault, and now that I understand I choose to pass this knowledge on.

As Mel was saying, certain beliefs can hold one back from the Communion with God experience.  I will put ignorance at the top of the list, followed by feelings of unworthiness; fear of God; the illusion of separation between man and God; the belief that sex is a lower nature act and not God give for the purpose of joy and creation; and the belief that one must have an intermediary of some kind to interface between them and God will inevitably restrict the necessary flow of energy and block this experience. If you hold anyone of these beliefs, it is not impossible to achieve communion, but you are seriously limiting the probability.

"How to" for a complete beginner cannot not be adequately address in an article, nor can it be taught by reading alone. However some people have stumbled on this experience—as I did—and perhaps we can help you identify feelings associated with the beginnings of this awakening and what to do with them.

This experience can happen with a partner while having sex. It can happen that one or both partners achieve a transcendent experience during the same sexual intercourse that brings both to Communion with God at the same time. I see this as the ultimate experience—where the Two, who become One, become four.  (Two children (us) become one with their spiritual Parents (Mother Father God). There are no rules. And when sharing loves intimacies with a partner all expectations should be put aside.  The attaining of orgasm or spiritual enlightenment is not the goal. The goal is to lose oneself in love.  Nothing more. This is what Zeb is talking about in Message # 5:3:

… I am the tear that falls from your eye. I am the soaring fulfillment of love and desire that floods your heart. I am Love.

This can also happen independently when sex with a partner is not a factor at all, and often does through meditation or just a heightened experience brought about by something beautiful. How many times have you listened to a piece of beautiful music and felt the warmth of love and passion ripple through your body? How many times have you been brought to tears at the angel-like innocence of a child or the magnificence of a towering mountain, the beauty in the feel of your lover’s touch,  the look of wonder in his or her eyes.  These are moments of connection when your Heart Chakra is stimulated.

What does that feel like? Can you remember? Can you go there? If you can, you have made the first and the most important connections of the magic three. Root Chakra, (physical) Heart Chakra, (Passion) Crown Chakra, (spiritual connection)

Second is recognizing kundalini energy.  Many hedge discussion of the actually sensations that can accompany activation of kindalini energy. For some people, it can feel like a slight tingling at the base of the spine, in others like myself mild sexual arousal or a minor burning sensation of the genitals. I find it discouraging that because of prevalent sexual attitudes in our country and many others, most who write about life force energy (Kundalini) dodge the issue and do not explain this. Life force energy is the same energy that is felt with sexual arousal. The difference is what you do with this energy.

The third step is moving the energy. If one feels this energy it can be mentally pulled up from the Root Chakra and through the Crown Chakra for the blissful connection of Divine Communion with your Creator. Note! Even if you don’t feel any sensations of this energy, but feel strong emotion, imagine it and try pulling the energies through you body. Think it up, by imagining a thermomenter running through the center of your body parallel to the spine. Imagine the mercury flowing upward until it explodes out your head through the Crown Chakra.

This takes a certain amount of energy to achieve, and if one is physically ill or under physical or emotionly stress, where the masculine feminine energies are out of atunement, the energy will not flow properly.  But once you achieve the flow and the connection is made, you become energized and it is no longer an effort. The feeling is uncredable—like liquid fire. It is uphoric. It can and often does last for hours—even days. It is Bliss!

As Zaran describes in her Alchemy of Healing article, this energy force brought through the body and connected with the Source, can also be used for healing through transfer of this energy by touch.

Mel:> Wow, now that’s what I call “straight talk.”

Caryl:> Well, how can they know unless we’re up front. My first experience with kundalini happened back in the 70’s (1970’s) but I didn’t know what it was or what to do with it.  I just though I was horney! After all, I was completely by myself meditating. No lover, and not sexual thoughts--just this feeling. It can be very confusing. Especially if one is from a religious background where any sexual connected with God is considered deviant. This was not my case, but it was still confusing.

Mel:> I guess that would be.  And like you said, others can learn from your experience.

Caryl:> I am happy to share. And I am through, my Twin. You can take it from there. I believe you were about to give some “straight talk” of your own.

Mel:>Yes, where was I…  With Caryl’s explanations you can see that some people can approach this through self discovery, and if that still doesn't result in what you would like to achieve, you may need instruction.

Now that we have learned about the forces behind “Divine communion” (Passion and Kundalini) it is time to discuss "Sacred Sex.”  As you will have discovered elsewhere in our articles, there are definite levels of the Soul and God. There are also levels of "Sacred Sex." All sex is divine, just some forms are more divine than others. And here we are speaking of physical sexuality between partners. In order to make the transition from Sacred Sex and Divine Sexuality, it is necessary for us to take a look at common sexual practices.

Perhaps we should start with an attempt at humor. You have no doubt heard there is no such thing as "bad sex," or that even "bad sex" is better than "no sex" at all. Well, that is debatable, but few would argue that it is no fun to have sex with a "hobosexual." What is a "hobosexual?" (a "bum lay")

Self Centered -- Object Oriented Sex of the "hobosexual:"

A male "hobosexual" is one whose soul objective is in getting his own climax. He's the one who has to ask, "Did you get yours?" (If you have to ask, she didn't).

A female "hobosexual" is one who endures the sexual experience as her role in the marriage responsibility. Often it is not either the man's or woman's fault but the result of our cultural upbringing, ignorance, and the fact that, contrary to what most men think, good sex does not come naturally. The focus for a woman like this is not on getting her orgasm—for she probably rarely if ever does—it is on getting it over--as soon as possible.

It is tragic when two people waste such divine potential, but men have to be taught how to make love to a woman. And a smart man will learn the God created magical differences between male and female sexuality from a woman.

Unfortunately, a boring sex life is often the cause of  infidelity. No one would like to be served the same meal three times a day, day after day, week after week, year after year.  This kind of sexual practice falls far short of the balanced M/F harmonies necessary for Divine Sexuality. How can this be remedies?

Divine Harmony -- Other Person Oriented Sex

The next step for greatest results is Partnership Preparation. We are dealing with the most intimate and personal interaction between two people, therefore there is a necessary bonding of trust and confidence that must occur before progression is possible. This is why most facilitators of Sacred Sex techniques prefer to work with couples, showing one how to administer to the needs of the other, for in most cases--Transcendent experiences occur to the one who passively receives--it is "God's Gift" from one to another. This is not to say that a couple can’t experience this together, it is just not as likely to happen in the beginning.

The focus must shift from: "I got mine," to helping each other toward fulfillment. But more than that--the shift is must be less on expectations or goals and more on the couple enjoying each other, having fun by breaking up the routines, being creative and enjoying and prolonged pleasure of the senses.  Surprise takes the place of predictability and roles are often reversed. But this is not a marriage Manual, if you need help there are many good books on the subject and if the couple is earnest in finding solutions, new discovery can be a rewarding journey.

Caryl:> How about Dr. Ruth?  J

Mel:> Have you been talking to Zarna?

Caryl:> She may have whispered in my ear.

Mel:> Zarna expanded on this recently when she was speaking of heterosexual relationships that these connections happen when men…

"begin to respect women, and for women to honor men, and to lift each other in love an communion. This truly is 'Divine Sexuality,' Communion with the God in each other." (44.17)

Once the couple has achieved balance they are prepared to being to bridge two worlds—transcending physical limitations to Divine Communion with their Source.

Transcendent Sex -- A Paranormal Divine Sexual Experience.

Transcendent Sex was the vehicle through which many adepts of the Ancient Mystery Schools achieved miracles. Zarna is just beginning to reveal this process through her Alchemy Articles (See her The Alchemy of Healing). But remember, you can't learn this from reading just articles.

Dr Wade in her book, Transcendent Sex wisely cautions the aspiring seeker to be extremely cautious. She advises her readers if they are interested in making it happen to check into any practice carefully? We echo these words.

But How? I promise if you do a web search on Sacred Sex instruction and you will come up with over 75,000 listings. To our knowledge most are not listed with the Better Business Bureau or even a professional organization to protect your (and their) interests. Dr Wade does an excellent job of showing how difficult this is, even with those organizations most commonly associated with open sexuality.

She says: “Many believe the Eastern religions are real open minded when it comes to encouraging the exploration and experimentation of human sexuality, but such could not be farther from the truth. Most of these liberated religions actually teach celibacy and abstinence. [Mel's Note -- Just the opposite of what most of you who are reading this article are interested in.]

Hinduism for example Dr Wade says:

"Despite stories of divine couples in Hinduism, such as the god Shiva and goddess Shakti, and Karishna and Radha whose relationships are primarily sexual, carnal desire, is to be avoided at all costs [my emphasis] because it chains humanity to the world of illusion." (pg 4)

[In other words, if you want to enjoy sex--forget it]

Buddhism:

"Similarly in Buddhism, classic texts such as the Visuddhimagga deny worldly pleasures to aspirants. Serious seekers were, and are, expected to be celibate, if not actually ascetic. In fact the cessation of sexual desires is considered one of the marks of the "adept [my emphasis], the natural outgrowth of effective spiritual practice." ((pg 4)

[Again, if you want to enjoy sex -- forget it]

Tantra:

Tantra, Vajrayana Buddhism and Taoism aren't the straightforward pro sex paths many people think. Tantra is a yogic practice that began as a counter cultural movement of reverse spirituality—that is doing the opposite of religious convention in a kind of Crazy Wisdom in which eating forbidden food, drinking forbidden drinks, violating taboos, and engaging in sex could be ritualized into a path for realization. Even in Tantra actual sex is given up as quickly as possible." [my emphasis) (pg 5)

[So this is the "forbidden fruits" of Tantra--"violating taboos?"]

Kabbalic Judaism:

"A mystical branch that emerged in the Middle Ages, sexual intercourse became a powerful spiritual act that enabled spouses [my emphasis] to participate in the male and female aspects of  God sustaining the cosmos. Even though sex is expected for married couples [my emphasis, again] on most holy days there is ambivalence about experiencing too much pleasure." (pg. 5)

[In other words, forget it--unless you are married to your partner]

Islam:

"Sexuality is consecrated in the Qu'ran and its mystical forms are rife with a feminine principle and a sacraligation of intercourse. But mainstream Islam became conservative about sex and today widely regards women as a chaotic element in Moslem society." (pg. 6) (Caryl's emphasis! )

[So much for women equality--you won't find it here]

So, where do you look, and what to look for?

A Word to the Wise -- Exercise Extreme Caution:

We are in total agreement with Dr. Wade when it comes to exercising caution. But how? An organization which supposedly teach a liberated view of human sexuality, an established organization whose staff or faculty abounds with many impressive PhD's,  is no guarantee of their qualification.

Personally, I hold two legitimate Bachelor of Science Degrees--Economics  and Behavioral Science,  and two Master of Arts Degrees—Humanities and Literature, but none of these qualify me to do what I have been chosen to do. Zeb came to me to be a channeler (Speaker) and has given me a few gifts of a spiritual nature.  I didn't choose this. It came as a result of my Near Death Experience where I was shown later I was needed for this Mission with my Twin Soul. What organization is going to certify me? I've been a practicing hypnotist for the past 45 years, experienced in regression and ESP research. Do I need to be certified by organizations that came about long after I was already an accomplished hypnotist?

My point is, you are no more certain of the qualifications of your Sacred Sex practitioner than you will be of the qualifications of your next lover. Sometimes you have to rely on your gut feelings, your Guardian Angels, and test the temperature of the water with one toe--before you plunge in head-first.

Remember this is God given information.  Consider your selection carefully and remember that most who teach out of love do so for the love of each other, not for the love money.  There is much to consider and this is just the beginning of the subject, but the end of this article. We will add another article on this subject when Zeb and Zarna  give us more information.

With Love,
