We have all heard of the ancient Spanish missions that dot the Southern California coast and some of us Texans still "Remember The Alamo!" Those are "Missions." Is this what we are talking about when I occasionally refer to "The ZZ Mission?" No.
 

How about a Shuttle Mission? Are we suddenly astronauts?

No.

How about an effort in some country to convert people to a particular belief about God? If so, are we "Missionaries?" Nope! (Zeb and Zarna do not believe in evangelizing, or converting "lost" souls. While the body sometimes can get lost, the soul is never lost. It always knows where it is.)
 

How about "Mission Impossible?" Nope. (At least I hope not.)
 

How about "Being on a mission?" Getting close...when applied to "The ZZ Mission."
 

What brought about this little exercise in semantics? Well, I overheard a conversation Caryl had yesterday with a beloved friend over "The ZZ Mission." This friend, like many others who have come to us, expressed some hesitancy over joining a "mission," or group, and not hearing "The Voice of Zeb and Zarna" for themselves.

Could the problem be over "hearing The Voice of Zeb and Zarna." (especially since our God does not use WORDS?) Could it be that ZZ "speaks" through your FEELINGS to your heart and not through words to your intellect? YOU (and I) have to use "words" to express our feelings, but they (ZZ) don’t. For example: My bet is that our friends and ZZ family in The Netherlands use Dutch to express their feelings from Zeb and Zarna, although many use English to speak to us. Does that mean that they speak different words from those of Zeb and Zarna? No. Zeb and Zarna doesn’t speak in words.

While you may think this was a digression from the topic, "What is The ZZ Mission?" it really isn’t. To quote Strother Martin from one of Paul Newman's old movies ("Cool Hand Luke") "What we have here is a failure to communicate." We are encountering a problem of semantics (such as what do you call something?). But the word "missions" brings up another problem that many of our friends have. These friends are "free spirits," rather than members (or "followers" YUCK!!! ) of some group.

To them to be a part of a group means to join and follow some belief or person.

What if I told you that the "ZZ family" (or those who have read ZZ’s words through us—Melvyn Caryl) is not a "group." There is nothing to "join" and NO ONE to follow? You follow your own inner feelings…not Melvyn Caryl, nor even ZZ. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. Zeb has often "said" in the ZZ Messages (and I paraphrase here) "it doesn’t matter that you believe Melvyn Caryl, nor even in Us (Zeb and Zarna). All that matters is that you believe in yourself."

Now that I’ve told you all that I can think of what "The ZZ Mission" is not, it is time for me to tell you what "The ZZ Mission" is (at least to me).

The ZZ Mission is a way of life (not an organization, or group). It is a "way" of Love and Equality among the sexes and the peoples of this world. The ZZ Mission does not have "leaders" (yes, that includes us, Melvyn Caryl). It has "Speakers."

Are we the only Speakers for Zeb and Zarna? No. We are the selected public Speakers for Zeb and Zarna but this is only to assure the continuity of the ZZ Messages. We are not even the first ZZ Speakers. There have been many down through the ages who have brought the message of Love and Peace. Can you think of any? How about Jesus?

Whoa! "I don’t want to be part of a religion," you might say. Neither do we. Did you realize that Jesus never founded a church or a religion? Those who followed him, did so to hear what he had to say. They listened to him and interpreted what he said and founded different churches, beliefs and denominations of a religion. Would he approve of what religion has turned his words into? Probably not. But God and Jesus did not form a church or religion. Jesus was just as human as you and I are (no more, or less a "Son of God" than you or me). But he was on a "Mission" to spread the word, I contend that was a "ZZ Mission" for its time. This is a different time and different Speakers. By the time Caryl and I leave this life there will be others to carry on with "The ZZ Mission." Others in turn will probably found religions from ZZ’s or

Melvyn Caryl’s words. Will we approve of it? Probably not.

Why are we currently the selected public "Speakers" for Zeb and Zarna?" ZZ doesn’t want a hundred conflicting versions of what they are bringing forth. So, if you hear someone, supposedly representing Zeb and Zarna, speaking of retributive Karma, sin, judgment, Hell or devils…you will know that he or she is not from Zeb and Zarna in their beliefs. "In your heart you know he’s right" (or wrong.) For another trivia quiz…where does that expression come from? (Barry Goldwater in the 1964 Presidential Campaign)

The nuances of what is and what isn’t from Zeb and Zarna goes much deeper than this, but this gives you an idea. A lot of misconceptions arise out of the use of words and their associated meanings, but can any of you think of a better way to convey a thought or message? If you can, tell me…I could really use it.

That is one of the things I hope to accomplish with this article (clearing up some misunderstandings) over "What is The ZZ Mission." I want to clarify what is it, who we (Melvyn Caryl) are, and whether or not you have to join us to be a part of The ZZ Mission.

Joining…so you are afraid to "join?" You don’t have to. You are already a "member" (or not) by what you believe in your heart (not your mind.) For example, do you believe in Universal Love? That is do you love not only your fellow man, but all of nature, beauty, and the stars? You believe as we do. Do you believe in the equality of the genders? (That a woman is no less nor greater than a man?) Then you believe as we do. Why do you think Zeb and Zarna come to us in a pair? Why not just Zeb…("Our Father Who Art Zeb") or Zarna ("Our Mother Who Art Zarna?") Why ZZ, instead of AA (Amos and Andy)?

To begin with, "Zeb and Zarna" were their names in a former incarnation long ago. Yes, they were once physical beings, not of this earth, but just as physical as you and I are. They have ascended up the hierarchy of God (just as you and I are in the process of doing.) There they have no need of names. Names are for our benefit only. That is why they have often told us what you call them isn’t important. But "ZZ " is Alpha as well as the Omega, the beginning as well as the ending. Both equal.

Can you see the "ZZ?" Is this just a coincidence? There are no coincidences, and neither is this (this is something we discovered, we didn’t "make it up.")

What about "following" us or ZZ? You follow us if you are interested in what we or ZZ have to say (or you don’t). You don’t follow us. While I try to be an example for others, I can only be me… "the stone the builder rejected."

I hope I have clarified some of those terms and meanings that people assign to them. There is nothing to fear. We are not some cult. There is an organization developing around "The ZZ Mission," but that is only for the furtherance of the ZZ Messages. Most "follow" us by clicking on our website from their computers at home. We hope you find Peace and Love here that brings about understanding. Sometimes even we confuse the terms we use. Yes, we want to see The ZZ Mission grow so that more will hear. We want the ZZ Mission to produce an income, not to become rich, but to provide what you may want in the way of books, lectures and seminars. Can’t you see, it’s all about YOU, not us?
